I DID IT!!!!
I thought I was going to have to buy a new vacuum. I have fixed it though. Thank goodness. Saved $400.
Years ago I went to Hokamas here in Redding for a belt. I explained my problem I was having and told them what I needed. They then informed me that “If it was the other belt I would of had to buy the MUCH more expensive 
part(clutch)because you supposedly can’t change the belt out. WRONG!
I FRICKIN FIXED IT!
You got a Dyson I can fix it.
